Education & Career

Graduated from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM, for its Spanish acronym) where he obtained the public accounting degree. Mr. Natera has taken postgraduate courses on customs legislation and international trade. Additionally, he obtained a tax law specialization from the Universidad Panamericana (UP, for its acronym in Spanish) and took the postgraduate course on international taxes from Harvard University and ITAM.

He has taught various tax related subjects in a variety of universities, and has given many lectures in a wide variety of fiscal and transfer pricing forums organized by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT), EuroSocial, and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), among others. 

Mr. Natera specializes in the transfer pricing area. Until year 2013, he served as Head of the Examination Area and Advance Rulings on Transfer Pricing in the Tax Revenue Service (Servicio de Administración Tributaria or SAT, for its acronym in Spanish). He also participated actively as a member of the working groups for the OECD WP6, as representative of Mexico.

He is an active member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA).
